How long will the user session remain active?

By default, Prolaborate logs you out after 30 minutes of inactivity. However, if you select “Keep Me Signed In” when logging in, your session can remain active for up to one year. Without this option, the session will expire after 30 minutes of no activity.

The session management is controlled by two key timeouts:

  • Idle Timeout: One year if “Keep Me Signed In” is checked, or 30 minutes if it is not.
  • Server Timeout: Prolaborate’s server automatically ends idle sessions after 8 minutes of inactivity. To prevent this, the browser sends a request every 3 minutes to keep your session active while you’re using the platform.

These settings can be customized based on your organization’s requirements.

Can I configure multiple SAML Integrations in a single Prolaborate instance?

No, Prolaborate currently does not support multiple SAML configurations within a single instance.

However, you can manage access and permissions effectively for users from different identity providers by leveraging your existing SAML configuration:

  • Create distinct SAML user groups on the Identity Provider (IdP) side.
  • Map these groups to specific Access Control Profiles (ACPs) within Prolaborate.

This setup allows you to define precise access permissions and data visibility for each user group logging in via SSO.

Invalid login attempt”

This error occurs when the username or email entered is correct, but the password is incorrect.
Prolaborate allows a maximum of three consecutive login attempts. After each failed attempt, the system will display the number of remaining attempts before the account is locked.

Error “Too many failed login attempts. Please wait 30 minutes or contact your Prolaborate admin to unlock your account”

The account will be temporarily locked for security reasons after three consecutive failed login attempts. It will be automatically unlocked after 30 minutes or you can contact your Prolaborate administrator to unlock your account.

Error: “Invalid Credentials”

This error appears when the username or email entered does not match any registered user in Prolaborate. This message helps prevent unauthorized access and alerts users that they are not part of the Prolaborate user base.
