Troubleshooting Customizations in Prolaborate

Why are the custom icons not displaying correctly after updating the MDG version in Prolaborate?

Custom icons may not appear correctly after updating the MDG (Model Driven Generation) version in Prolaborate due to either:

  • A delay in Prolaborate syncing the latest changes.
  • Browser cache retaining outdated data, which prevents new icons from rendering properly.
  • Incomplete updates in the configuration settings under Apply Custom Colors and Icons or Configure Stereotypes.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Verify Icon Updates: Navigate to Apply Custom Colors and Icons in Prolaborate. Confirm that the new icons are correctly associated with the updated stereotypes.
  2. Clear Browser Cache: Press F12 to open Developer Tools. Right-click the Reload button and choose Empty Cache and Hard Reload.
  3. Refresh Your Session: Log out of Prolaborate and log back in to ensure session data is reloaded.

MDG import failed with “Unable to Add the Modeling Language”. How to fix? Any file size limit?

This error typically occurs when the MDG file you’re trying to import is too large for the current configuration. Here how to fix it:

  • Open the Prolaborate Management from your installation directory.
  • Go to Manage Configuration > Application Settings > WebApp.
  • Increase the Request Body Size and increase it to at least more than you current MDG XML file size.
  • Click Save after adjusting the size limit.
  • Restart all Prolaborate-related services to apply the new configuration.
  • Try importing your MDG file again.
